What is this?

This blog will be devoted to expressing somewhat abstract ideas, thoughts, and opinions. In other words, it’ll be a usual drab commentary on life. I’ll probably insert some photos, videos, quotes, literary excerpts, art, reviews, news, sports, poetry, short stories, music…basically whatever the hell I want. That will serve as the only color in this black and white blog…oh, and the little red accents. I don’t really know how to change that. Chances are, most posts won’t mean a damn thing to anybody including myself. Besides, all the juicy and “creative” stuff are either private or scribbled down in some notebook somewhere. You’ll likely only see random multimehdia. See what I did there? This blog is way too gimmicky, even for the internet.

Who am I?

I majored in English and now I’m where all brilliant English majors eventually arrive: post-graduate purgatory (which consists of scrambling to find the most unsatisfying, dead-end retail or teaching gig that life has to offer, thereby effectively stifling creativity in exchange for a decent paycheck). Anyway, I guess I’m kind of trying to get my shit together. I needed to organize scattered musings and sample works all in one digital realm. A blog seems pretty reasonable for that. I also seem to find the internet’s rarest and most precious (and dirtiest) gems. It would be a shame not to compile them all in one place. If you want to contact me for whatever crazy reason, email is the (only) way to go. Personal social networking is impersonal enough, isn’t it? Meh.
